Flora and Fauna
flora- The park has nine wilderness areas , lower down in the slopes you will find plants like eucalyptus and higher in the snowy mountains Snow Gums start to appear Most of the National park is covered with alpine woodland other plants include Watlle forests, Mountain gum, and Alpine Ash. Many trees in the lower part of the national park were unfortunately burned in 2003 caused by bushfires, fires are natural part of the parks ecosystem.
Fauna- the park is quite known for their two Australian endangered species : the striped Corroboree Frog and the Mountain Pygmy Possum ( only lives in altitudes above 1500m). Other animals in the park include popular Australian natives such as; Kangaroos, wallabies, platypus and more. and 200 species of birds of which some are also native.
